![]() Since that time, my pilgrimage has been about covering wider ground without losing my Pentecostal orientation. Conversely, some of my most influential heroes such as, A.A. ![]() Theological giants, who were known and revered across the evangelical world, were strangers to me. It was, in fact, a process of re-education. What was, up to that point, a sheltered sub-culture of Black classical Pentecostalism, opened out into a much wider evangelical world which occasionally seemed apostate. When I registered as a theological student at London Bible College in 1972, I walked into a culture shock which is still on-going.
